What is the expected product lifetime of the XEM6001 module? Does opal kelly make any promises?

Thomas-- No, we do not make promises. We use a number of parts that are critical to the device itself, for example, the Xilinx FPGA. If for some reason Xilinx discontinues this part, we would have no choice but to discontinue the XEM6001.
If you have a long-running project or product, we’re certainly able work with you directly to determine your needs and help with planning, though. Within reason, I would expect our products to have a very long lifetime, pending the availability of critical parts.
