Hi Opal Kelly Support Team,
We have a XEM7310-A75 FPGA board. Tried checking the ‘Sample: First’ and ‘Sample: Counter’ example(s) but neither of them worked (i.e Once the FrontPanel profile is loaded, the LEDs when toggled in GUI doesn’t have any impact on the board; Similarly, in the counter(s) example, the Front Panel GUI doesn’t display the counter values). Setup and additional details are briefed below,
-
XEM7310-A75 was Powered using separate adapter “XEM7310 - Opal Kelly Documentation Portal”
-
Example(s) were executed as per steps mentioned in “docs - fpsdk/samples-and-tools/sample-first/”
-
Example bit files download link: https://pins.opalkelly.com/downloads/137/download?category_id=2
-
OS: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Front Panel: 5.2.12
-
Error - 1: When the downloaded example bit file was loaded “FPGA configuration failed: Done did not go high” error message was seen
-
Error - 2: Occasionally, in the Front Panel tool instead of detecting the board as ‘XEM7310-A75’, it is detected as ‘FX3 Bootloader’. After disconnecting and reconnecting the board, it was detected properly as ‘XEM7310-A75’
-
Error - 3: In Front Panel Preferences ‘Configure PLL before FPGA download’ was disabled in the last trial. With this update, FPGA configuration was successful (Done did not go high error didn’t occur) but still the examples didn’t work (same observation in Front Panel GUI as before)
