We are planning to utilize the SYZYGY ports A and B to interface to our own custom I/O boards. We do not plan on incorporating a DNA controller on these boards and wish to use SMARTVIO_MODE 2 and set VIO1 and VIO2 to 3.3V. I have set the appropriate settings via FrontPanel but am unable to get either VIO1 or VIO2 to be anything other than 1.6V. Am I missing something?

Please be more specific about how you have set the device settings.
Device Settings tab in FrontPanel “Settings for Opal Kelly XEM7320”
XEM7320_SMARTVIO_MODE Value is 2
XEM7320_VIO1_VOLTAGE Value is 330
XEM7320_VIO2_VOLTAGE Value is 330
Please confirm that nothing is loading the device when you probe the voltage.
With these settings, we’re able to see 3.3v on both voltages. It’s possible something has damaged the regulators or is loading them. Please contact [email protected] if you can provide additional diagnostic information.
Our own custom boards have not been fabricated yet so my measurements are with a SZG-BRK-STD connected to Port A and Port B. I also disconnected both boards and probed the Port connectors (J4 and J5) directly and still have approx 1.6V. I will contact [email protected].
