What if system flash are entirely erased in XEM7310?

Dear all,

I am using XEM7310-A200.
If I erase all sectors of system flash, what happen to Frontpanel access?
Is Fronpanel still working for FPGA configuration?
Do we need to write the system image on the system flash for Frontpanel?
