Larger Spartan devices

Any plans for models with xc3s1000 or xc3s1500 ?

Thanks,
Przemek

Yes… Within the next few months, we hope to introduce a new device which will have either an XC3S1000 or XC3S1500 on it.

How about the XC3S2000?
I need alot area of chip.
Thanks

Our upcoming device uses the 320-ball BGA package. Unfortunately, the XC3S2000 does not come in this package.

We may release larger devices but have no current plans to do so. What else would you like to see?

For the new boards do you plan on using a high speed connectors, maybe Hirose type, instead of the 0.100" headers?

Yes - it has two 0.8mm high-density connectors. Somewhere around 110 FPGA pins available.

I have another suggestion: USB connector of type B is loosing contact from time to time if XEM is moved around. I suggest to use either type A or smaller mini-B to solve the problem.
